Business Experience
After qualifying as an accountant in the 1970s, Peter spent 23 years working in the City. He began as a research analyst for a leading investment bank, was then seconded to P&O as a Group Treasurer and then to Burmah Oil as a financial advisor. On returning to the bank, he advised a number of governments and multinationals on privatisations and financing strategies.  He headed up the energy, mining and minerals and project finance teams for Citicorp and Barclays Bank.

In the late 1980s as a main board director for a leading merchant bank he prepared a number of Chief Executives and their companies for stock market flotation, MBO, or trade sale.  Later, as Global Head of Strategy for BZW (now Barclays Capital), he successfully welded together the diverse cultures of de Zoete Wedd, Durlacher, Barclays Merchant Bank and the treasury operations of Barclays Bank.

Peter has thus combined a successful career as a corporate financier across all product areas and has a deep interest in motivational development.
